




Witness Image is a non profit organization founded by Luca Catalano Gonzaga, which combines photography and journalism.
Its’ purpose is to narrate the great transformations of our time through a number of projects.
Witness Image aims to document the world disorder of our day through images and their stories such as: the causes and consequences of the war, child abuse, hunger, poverty, injustices, natural and environmental disasters.
Witness Image wants to build a reflection on the right of people to remain themselves in this era of great political and socio-cultural changes.

About
Luca Catalano Gonzaga was born in Rome.
After Classical Studies he graduates in Economics and works in the world of communication for over a decade.
In 2008, he decides to found Witness Image, to collect and narrate the great transformations of our time he witnesses as a photo reporter. His work takes him to highly remote areas and borders of the world, to carry out a series of photographic projects that narrate the rights and self-determination of people.
He collaborates with Organizations such as: United Nations for Refugees (UNHCR), Unicef, Oxfam, Migrantes Foundation, Organization of Nations and Unrepresented Peoples (UNPO), Terres Des Hommes.
His works have been exhibited in museums, galleries and festivals at an international level such as the United Nations Palace, the Royal Geographic Society, the International Center for Climate Governance, European Parliament, Expo 2015 – Pavilion of the Holy See, the European Parliament, Visa Pour l’Image.
His projects have received numerous international awards, among others, the Sony World Photography Awards, Days Japan International Awards, Care International for Humanitarian reportage, Luis Valtuena Humanitarian Photography Award, Picture of the year (POY), Environmental photographer of the year, “Soul” Award.
The photographs have been published by the most important media in the world, among others, Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Le Monde, Paris Match, Le Figarò, El Pais, Stern, Der Spiegel, Espresso and Internazionale.
In ten years of activity he has realised over 50 photographic reportages and visited over 30 Countries around the world.
Luca Catalano Gonzaga lives in Palo Laziale (Rome, Italy).
