




Witness Image is a non profit organization founded by Luca Catalano Gonzaga, which combines photography and journalism.
Its’ purpose is to narrate the great transformations of our time through a number of projects.
Witness Image aims to document the world disorder of our day through images and their stories such as: the causes and consequences of the war, child abuse, hunger, poverty, injustices, natural and environmental disasters.
Witness Image wants to build a reflection on the right of people to remain themselves in this era of great political and socio-cultural changes.

About
Luca Catalano Gonzaga has been involved in international photojournalism for years, particularly in remote or border regions.
He is the founder of Witness Image, a non-profit association established in 2010 with the aim of creating a series of photographic projects that highlight the rights and self-determination of peoples and bear witness to the great transformations of our time.
His works have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and festivals worldwide, including the United Nations Palace, the Royal Geographic Society, the International Centre for Climate Governance, Expo 2015 – Holy See Pavilion, and Visa Pour l’Image.
He collaborates with organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICEF, Oxfam, the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation, the Migrantes Foundation, the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO), and Terres Des Hommes, WWF International.
His services have received numerous international awards, including the Sony World Photography Awards, Days Japan International Awards, Luis Valtuena Humanitarian Photography Award, Picture of the Year (POY), Environmental Photographer of the Year, Care International for Humanitarian Reportage, and Premio Anima.
His photographs have been published by major global media outlets, including Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Le Monde, Paris Match, Le Figaro, El Pais, Stern, Der Spiegel, Espresso, Internazionale, and others.
In thirteen years of activity, he has produced more than 60 photographic reports and visited over 30 countries worldwide.
